MARK to showcase the Verso Chair designed by Tomoko Azumi at this year’s 100% Design.
MARK launched at 100% Design in 2008 to great acclaim, with the Net chair winning the Blueprint 100% Design award for best new interior product. MARK’s John Miller said: ‘At its best 100% Design combines the business focus and purpose of a trade show with genuinely innovative and creative work that moves the design industry on. We have come back on board in 2012 because we are certain the new management will re-capture this spirit and are looking forward to a really exciting and revitalised show.’
‘MARK will be showing our new Verso range of chairs by Tomoko Azumi. We’ll be looking to give the range a good launch platform, to get feedback, and find new interest from both retail outlets and contract specifiers.’
The Verso chair was previewed earlier in the year and is living up to its ‘versatile’ name, with orders so far going into universities, cafe’s, offices as well as home interiors. Like other MARK products it is understated and compact. A utilitarian concept but realised with great elegance.
Beech ply seats, upholstered and outdoor versions are available, with and without arms – the range is extensive and the stand at 100% Design will aim to show this breadth.
