MARK Director Anna Hart and her team have been working on a new cafe/bar design over the last few months and MARK won the tender to supply the furniture so we’re it’s all go in the studio today. The new Concourse cafe/bar will form the new foyer of the Nicholas Burwell designed Performance Centre at the University of Falmouth.
This exceptional purpose-built facility is designed to encourage collaborative and cross-disciplinary partnerships. The new cafe/bar brings a new level of interaction and meeting of minds in the breaks between studies and performances. Members of the local community also benefit plays host to a diverse programme of public performances taking place over the course of the year and the cafe is open to all visitors.
MARK will be creating new bench low level upholstered sofa benches for the perimeter of the cafe and a new table and bench range to create the cafe seating within the centre of the space. Wave tables will feature in the exterior spaces, specifically a bespoke circular one.
More details to follow on the tables and benches as they come to life as we’ll be adding these to the MARK product range later in the year.
