In our last newsletter of 2019 we wish all our customers and specifiers a happy Christmas as we look back on our year through projects, products, people and….plants!
Plants have become a big thing for us as we continue to help green up the workplace. This Manalo & White project makes good use of the flexible and biophilic Studioscape system for a client focused on sustainability and wellbeing within a heritage building.
Furniture to shape spaces is what we are all about. This was embodied at the Royal College of Art’s Darwin Café. The space was transformed using our Type tables and benches alongside bespoke booth seating, multiple Mycroft settings and huddle areas formed from Studioscape sofas, Drum and Milly stools.
As for new people, following Josh and Alex, we welcomed Antonia Webb to strengthen our London team, along with her trusty side-kick Monty the sausage dog. Antonia supports a number of our key accounts with a wealth of product knowledge and expertise in the WELL standard.
Soon after, and the social highlight of the year was our Power of Ten project for Clerkenwell Design Week. This rounded off our tenth birthday celebrations with 10 design practices pimping our iconic Loops chair. Competition was fierce with HLW winning the public vote, designer Pamela D’Alessandro leaping on to the plinth to claim the prize!
We first worked with the BBC on their iconic Media City and New Broadcasting House buildings, so it was great to be asked back to work on the new home for BBC Wales. Studioscape features in the heart of this project, forming collaboration spaces with the addition of a bespoke curve to work with the architecture of the building.
And finally could we take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year from all of the MARK Product team.
We will be closed from midday on Christmas Eve, re-opening on 2nd January. All orders received before 1st January and for delivery before 31 March will be at 2019 pricing – Brexit or no Brexit.
