Membership involves a rigorous annual audit of our practices in areas such as waste, energy, packaging and timber procurement. Being scrutinised by an independent body is important as it’s a disciplined and structured process.
In our last audit, we were delighted to have gained a particularly high score in the ‘Eco Design’ category, with the auditors commending our written sustainable design policy, sustainability datasheets, EPDs, and commitment to spare parts manufacture.
Membership of FISP also underlines our commitment to our community. In our case, this is to our industry community, working with our commercial rivals to stretch each other to do even more for the environment and society. It also enables us to demonstrate to you that our commitments and pledges are not just ‘blablabla’ – they have been checked out by the experts and stand up to scrutiny.
