In a close collaboration with architects Manalo & White, MARK Product have provided the furniture for Slough’s new Aspire Centre. Established by the developer SEGRO and run jointly by East Berkshire College and a consortium of local businesses, the Centre’s aim is ‘to encourage greater interaction between businesses, education and the community’. Designed by Hopkins Architects the new WWF head quarters completed in Woking this summer and saw us install a number of Wave tables and benches to the exterior of the building. Having achieved BREEAM ‘outstanding’ in the design and construction of this building the furniture was also subjected to scrutiny with regards to it’s sustainable (Read more)
MARK has recently completed a selection of bespoke works for Manalo & White architects for the Focal Point Gallery, Southend which has been partnered with core products such as our Iso table for meeting rooms and our new Flag bench as a gallery bench. The Mycroft and Mylo upholstery ranges were launched this year during Clerkenwell Design Week and more recently a new timber leg is available as an alternative to the steel wire sled base. The timber legs are in stained solid beech and the leg detail has been designed specifically to bring a different look and feel (Read more)
Our new Piazza sofa is now in store with Heal’s at both their Tottenham Court Road and Kings Road stores. This year has seen a growth in the number of bepsoke projects that we’ve undertaken. Our most recent work is the fit out of Penryn College refectory with bespoke tables and benches in a range of Formica blues with oak lipping. During Clerkenwell Design Week we curated, designed and produced an exhibition showcasing the work of today’s designers from when they were at school to highlight the importance of making at school, aptly named ‘Making Designers’ . Our stunning steam bent Ribbon lights are now available with the innovative Plumen bulb. It’s as if they were meant to be together as the flow of the Plumen bulb mirrors the unique signature looping of the wood. Earlier in the Spring we made these super-size Ribbon Lights for the Kurt Geiger ‘Shoe Garden’ at Arnotts in Dublin, a collaboration with Shed Design. Ribbon Lights are made in Oak, Walnut and Ash and normally 550mm diameter. These specials were 1.8m diameter in Ash, and special jigs were needed to steam bend the large (Read more)

Cornish furniture company MARK Product has been awarded a £25,000 Grant for Business Investment from the European Regional Development Fund. MARK have an exciting position available for an apprentice in their Cornwall office. The apprenticeship scheme, run in conjunction with Truro College, provides school leavers with the chance to gain valuable hands-on experience, learning from within the business.
